An Evolving Journey: The Biography of Gisela Kroeger Hoffman
Back in 1998 I was a regular employee of Travelers Insurance Company. Nine to five were the normal hours during which I designed their huge bond database. The non-normal hours were the harrowing 36 hour weekends during which I maintained them. I did not give much thought about my future except as a retiree when I could finally have time to travel wherever and whenever I wanted. I had been a mathematics professor before becoming an expert on mainframe computer databases, and had not given much thought to mind-being or consciousness. Neither had I paid much attention to my mother’s many requests that I come and help her at the retreat, and to learn what she knew.
That all changed drastically when on the day of my mother’s funeral I sat under the blossoming apple trees asking God to help me decide who was supposed to take over the running of the retreat. I had several recommendations from people, but I felt very lost until I heard a voice telling me “It is now your turn.”
I felt myself protesting but asked if I had a choice. “Yes,” the voice said, “you always have a choice.” “Will I be happy no matter which choice I make?” I asked. “Yes, you are a happy person and you will be happy no matter what you choose, but you will never know what true happiness is unless you take this path.” I was stunned as I had only a few times in my life heard such a clear message, and I decided that I needed to embark on a new path. I quit my corporate job and came to the retreat. It was difficult at first. I needed lots of direction. I read many books and learned meditation techniques. I took courses from Anneliese Hagemann (Dowsing through the energy of words), Francis Stockton (Accessing messages from the other side), Ginger Bowler (“Listening and Communicating With Energy”), Milo Beaver (Native drumming ceremonies), Dr. Willard Fuller (Lively Stones Foundation), Ellie Drew (“Soul Journeys”), Linda Eastburn (Medical Intuition), Raymon Grace (Spiritual Dowsing), Glenda Green ( “Love Without End, Jesus Speaks”, Robert. T. Stevens (Conscious Languaging), Dr. Michael Wells (Iridology). I also read a lot of books from the “I Am” series, Alice Bailey, Dr. Doreal (a metaphysical course from the Brotherhood of the White Temple), Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now, The New Earth), Abraham Hicks, David Hawkins (Power vs Force), and Edgar Cayce. I practiced EFT techniques, worked with the BioGenesis tools, and sat in the Chair of Genesis many times. Drunvalo Melchizedek’s book “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” was my first exposure to sacred geometry even though I had been a professor teaching geometry, algebra, calculus, and statistics for many years. I loved Zecharia Sitchin’s “The Earth Chronicles” which presents a fascinating view on the origins of mankind. Our destinies were as intertwined as our journeys. She knew that from early on; that is why she kept calling me every week for an hour telling me what she was doing, and giving me at most one minute to tell her what I was doing. I, however, had to learn our related destinies for myself as I practiced dowsing, read extensively, wrote family history and sermons, and then, in 2010 extended her work into the new age with the AccessHanna™ software. Its access to the Quantum or Zero-point energy field is humbling as I realize that it has brought together my scientific mind and training with my spiritual quest.
Listening to Bruce Lipton and reading his books, I came to understand that we are more than the building blocks coded by DNA. It took me a few years, but I slowly became very convinced that I had commenced on a path that would lead me to enlightenment, as well as to the fulfillment my mother’s (and my own) destiny.
