Hanna Kroeger founded the Chapel of Miracles in 1972 at Peaceful Meadow Retreat (PMR) in a tiny cinder-block stable which had room for only three benches along three walls with a small altar along the fourth wall. She was called to found the chapel primarily because she wanted her grandchildren, who were growing up on the Peaceful Meadow Retreat grounds, to have a place to learn about God. She invited all her friends to attend, but the little chapel was pretty well filled with her family and a few friends.
Although many of Hanna’s ancestors had been Lutheran preachers, she had never been attracted to formal religion and founded the chapel to be a non-denominational and spiritual place of worship. The participants sang songs, said prayers, and Hanna prepared messages of hope and encouragement from the Bible as well as from the many other metaphysical writings she was studying.
One day at the end of an hour of service, Hanna encouraged the people to leave by announcing, “Ok folks, that is all that I have to say. You can go home now,” when the door opened and a man dressed in a jeweled robe and a bishop’s hat entered the door. Everyone was stunned as he went from person to person and told each of them what their Gifts of the Spirit were.
They all left the chapel and gathered around the chapel talking about who this man might be. “He is a holy man, he is a holy man. Believe him, he is a holy man, “ Hanna kept saying, jumping up and down in excitement.
He came and talked to Hanna’s friend, Linda Demaray, and said to her “Believe your daughter when she says she sees things, for she will bring great light to the world.” Linda turned to Hanna and they both turned back, but the man had vanished. No car had moved from the parking lot, and no one saw anyone walking up the road. He had simply vanished.
This was the start of the BioGenesis tools which Cindy, Linda’s daughter, later developed through the guidance of Lantos, an ascended master who came to her regularly in later years. It was also a start for Hanna, who had many visitations by “people” and angels who gave her encouragement throughout the many struggles of her life.
After a few years, the chapel was moved to the greenhouse on the south side of the Retreat building (it now houses the gift shop and library). And in 1988, Hanna built a two-story addition to the Retreat with the Chapel on the second floor and a training room on the first floor.
