ROASTED BARLEY SOUP
Grind a cup of barley (or use barley flour). Put a generous tablespoon of butter into a pot & roast the barley until brown – more or less as you like it. Add enough pure water to achieve the consistency you like & simmer for about 25 minutes. Towards the end add some salt & a seasoning like a bullion cube (without MSG) & enjoy a soup of power & delight. Or better yet, add some miso. It’s delicious.
